Chinese visitors to NYC, LA, Las Vegas and San Francisco will be able to access local information from Yelp via the Alipay mobile app and pay in yuan at businesses that accept Alipay.

Yelp content will initially appear in English. A translated version and rollout to other cities and countries is planned.

This is a slick idea that creates advertising opportunities in an enormous tourism market. Hope it works.
