Conference Board's projection for greater than usual number of tourists visiting Montreal is based in part on activities around the city's 375th anniversary occurring this year.
More direct flights from China and visa-free travel from Mexico play a part also.
And even with the very recent strengthening of the Loonie against the USD, trips to Canada are still available to Americans at about a 20% discount.
