2017 overnight tourist visits expected to be +3.1% overall, +2.9% domestic, +2.7% from USA.
International visits are projected to be +6.2% in 2018, largely due to growth in the Mexican market resulting from increased air connectivity, relaxed visa requirements, and the US political climate.
Visitation from China is expected to increase because of 2018 being the Canada-China Year of Tourism.
CAD is expected to remain weak against other major currencies in 2018, which will also help.
