Montreal is one of 7 Canadian cities invited to become candidates for hosting the 2026 World Cup.
Montreal's venue has the advantage over most Canadian competitors of having natural grass (vice artificial turf).
Hosting the World Cup would certainly benefit Montreal tourism.
But past host cities have lost serious money on the deal.
I wish Montreal the best of luck.
