Quebec City police arrest a woman for going outside while under COVID-19 quarantine
Quebec Tourism Minister Caroline Proulx said in a statement on Friday that organizers of public events planned for summer 2020 should cancel them or postpone them until at least 31 August, to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Proulx was joined by Culture Minister Nathalie Roy and Education Minister Isabelle Charest in recommending cancellation or postponement of festivals planned for summer.
The Quebec Summer Festival (Festival d’été de Québec) - Canada's most important outdoor music festival - which had been scheduled for July has already been canceled.
Will 2020 be the "summer without a tourist season" around the world? Stay tuned for updates.
