Tourism Montreal predicts tourism spend of $3.6B and tax revenues of $1.45B in 2017.
Montreal's 375th anniversary and Canada's 150th anniversary celebrations contributed, along with the weak loonie and enhanced marketing in Mexico and China.
Montreal Grand Prix drew 15% more international visitors than in 2016.
Will be interesting to see how 2018 goes - absent celebrations, and with a stronger CAD.
