Tourisme Montreal has launched a "Sorry Toronto!" campaign targeting Toronto, Ontario for visitation during Montreal's 375th anniversary in 2017.
Promotions include an airplane-towed "Sorry Toronto!" banner over Toronto, and a You Tube video.
In copy posted on YouTube, Tourisme Montreal says:
"We’re going to be making a lot of noise Toronto. Sorry. We’re turning 375 in 2017 so we're going to be celebrating all year.
But we're good neighbours, so we went door-to-door to apologize to you. We think you appreciated the heads-up. And we hope you'll come and join us.
We've got more than 175 events happening, starting with Igloofest, Montréal en Lumière and Barbegazi this winter, not to mention Another Brick In the Wall - The Opera in March and much, much, much more throughout the year.
Come join the party, you won't be sorry: JOINMONTREAL375.COM"
