The Ministry of Tourism of the island of Dominica has unveiled a new logo and brand identity - "The Nature Island"- intended to differentiate the country from the Dominican Republic and also position it as a competitive destination in the world tourism market.
Whereas Dominica - a largely English-speaking country - is located in the Windward Islands in the southern Lesser Antilles between Puerto Rico and Trinidad and Tobago, the primarily Spanish-speaking Dominican Republic is located 600 miles away in the Island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles.
Current (19 February 2022) COVID-19 rules for visiting Dominica from the USA are:
"All fully vaccinated persons travelling through the USA ONLY into Dominica can now upload a pre-arrival negative Rapid Antigen Test result from a swab taken 48 hours prior to expected arrival time into Dominica (not less than 24 hours). The Rapid Antigen Test results must be from an accredited/certified facility. Therefore, NO Rapid Antigen Home Tests or self-administered test results will be accepted."
