Maine FY2024 Cycle 2 Marketing Grants applications open now
MOT has announced the opening of the FY2024 Cycle 2 portal where you can apply for a Communities, Enterprise Marketing or Special Event grant.
Deadline for applications is 22 November 2023.
These grants are intended to support the delivery of marketing programs that will stimulate and expand the Maine travel and tourism economy by coordinating private-sector promotional efforts with those of MOT.
Qualifying organizations are limited to Maine non-profits, municipalities and tribal governments.
Communities Grants to support tourism-focused, community-oriented projects and events will be awarded in amounts up to $5,000. Past winners include Camden Garden Club / Annual Garden Tour, Eastport ArtWalk Passport and Presque Isle CDA / Summer in the City.
Enterprise Marketing Grants to support tourism marketing initiatives that will increase visitation to your destination are available in amounts from $5,000 to $30,000. Past winners include Town of Fairfield / Maine Potato Blossom Festival, Ogunquit Chamber / Ogunquit Bonaire! Festival, Maine Cheese Guild / Maine Cheese Festival.
Two Special Event Grants to fund the expansion of audiences of existing, well-established events while increasing overnight visitation and length of stay, strengthening Maine's brand image, having direct impact on the State economy and attracting visitation in the shoulder seasons will be awarded in amounts from $30,000 to $60,000. The only past winner I could find is: Carnaval Maine.
