Maine Tourism Association CEO Chris Fogg announced last week that the organization plans to launch a staffing service for members, to address the State's tourism worker shortage.
Plans include recruiting workers from outside Maine, and facilitating worker-sharing among members.
Program will be operated as a pilot in 2019 with a few MTA members, then be expanded association-wide once kinks are worked out.
The Maine Tourism Association has more than 1500 members, and publishes and distributes the annual official Maine tourism guidebook Maine Invites You.
