Since NH officials rejected as being harmful to tourism Eversource's plan for a Northern Pass transmission line through the White Mountains, MA Gov. Charlie Baker now intends to go forward with CMP's $950M proposal known as "New England Clean Energy Connect" to bring Hydro-Quebec power to Massachusetts.
The CMP project involves a 145-mile transmission line from the QC border to Lewiston, where it would connect to the New England power grid.
