Neighbors of short-term rental properties, and landlords of these properties, continue to complain about each other's houses, yards and inhabitants.
The South Portland City Council has held 3 public meetings at which both groups have aired their gripes, but councilors seem to have made no meaningful progress toward a rational regulatory framework for these short-term rentals.
Let's hope that changes before the booking rush for summer 2018 - which will be starting in less than 2 weeks - gets too far along.
