Proposed bill would establish standards for English fluency, job skills, education, etc. Temporary workers coming to Maine on H2-A and H-2B visas won't be affected by this bill - only persons seeking permanent residency status, of which there are currently fewer than 2000 in Maine.
In tourism, some candidates for managerial/technical positions might be affected.
