Per Boston CVB chief Pat Moscaritolo, China is now the #1 international country market for Boston and all of New England, with about a 15% market share. And the Trump tariffs are putting that market in danger.

On 10 July, the CVB announced an expansion of its China-Friendly initiatives, centered on working with members to expand WeChat Pay options across the city.

The CVB will also be promoting Boston to the Chinese travel trade throughout 2018, and a sales mission to China is planned for 2019.
