In April the Puerto Rico Office of Travel & Tourism hosted a job fair in San Juan in partnership with the Cape Cod Chamber.
The plan was to recruit workers for Cape hotels for summer 2018 from among employees laid off on account of PR hotels being closed while recovering from hurricane damage.
Cape hotels were said to have 140+ positions available immediately.
But unfortunately, it's reported that few people attended the job fair, and not much recruitment occurred.
It looked like a good idea though. Too bad.
