In a recent Facebook post, Hotel Buckminster manager Trina Nolan said:
"We will be canceling all existing reservations moving forward...We do not have plans to reopen in the future at this point in time, We thank you for your patronage."
The Buckminster has been a Kenmore Square fixture since 1897.
Before COVID-19 struck, the Boston hospitality market had been on a roll - and more than 2000 new hotel rooms were scheduled to be added to the city's inventory in 2020. With non-essential construction now halted, that's unlikely to happen.
