Yesterday 31 January 2022 the US CDC moved Mexico and 11 other international destinations to COVID-19 Risk Level 4: Very High.
Destinations are moved to Level 4 when more than 500 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 residents are added in a 28-day period.
Destinations newly added to Level 4 are:
- Anguilla
- Brazil
- Chile
- Ecuador
- French Guiana
- Kosovo
- Mexico
- Moldova
- Paraguay
- The Philippines
- Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
- Singapore
There are now more than 120 destinations on the CDC's Level 4 list, including the USA and cruise ships.
CDC recommends against all international travel for persons not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
