Destination DC to launch "There's Only One DC" campaign 1 November
Regional DMO Destination DC announced yesterday the planned launch on 1 November of a new promotional campaign with the theme "There's Only One DC" which refers to the unique mix of history and culture to be found in the District.
The aim of the new campaign is to restore visitation of domestic and especially international tourists to pre-pandemic levels.
Although domestic tourism has recovered to 91% of 2019, international visitor numbers - which account for a disproportionate share of tourist spend - are still down 40%.
Domestic markets for the new campaign include: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and Seattle. Target international markets will be Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Mexico, South Korea and the UK.
Black cab advertising will be used in London.
