DC's official convention and sports authority has announced an $18M fund to address the impact of COVID-19 on the city's hospitality and tourism businesses. Restaurants, hospitality businesses, hotels and undocumented workers will all benefit.

The fund includes:

• $5M for hospitality and restaurant recovery, workers and operators
• $5M for hotel recovery, workers and operators
• $5M for undocumented workers living in DC
• $3M for destination marketing

"Events DC will formally execute agreements to ensure that processes and the appropriate safeguards are in place prior to providing the funds."
