The map was a good idea, but you need some knowledge of geography to use it.
Example:
If you're thinking about visiting Libya, and can find it on the map - mousing over doesn't have any useful effect like displaying country names - you can click Libya on the map to bring up a blurb that tells you the country name and date of most recent advisory, with a link to "More info."
But if you can't find Libya on the map, it's faster to use the alphabetical list of advisories by country.
