New York City tourist board NYC & Company and 10 local tourism-dependent businesses embarked today on a virtual trade mission to the UK and Ireland aimed at reconnecting the travel trade with NYC's tourism offerings.
The trade mission will include virtual presentations and 1:1 meetings.
In 2019 NYC received more than 1.5M visitors from the UK and Ireland. NYC & Company is predicting that more than half of the visitation lost to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 will be recovered this year, with total visitation of more than 36M people.
Most NYC businesses have been open at full capacity since 19 May.
