With confirmed cases of COVID-19 surging in Monroe County, PA - which some local politicians attribute to infected visitors from out-of-state attracted to the region by Airbnb ads for coronavirus-free rentals - PA Gov. Tom Wolf as said he plans to remove short-term rentals from the state's list of "life-sustaining" businesses.
PA media outlets have complained that only Gov. Wolf knows what businesses are considered "life-sustaining". PA DCED is issuing closure waivers on a case basis.
