The National Travel and Tourism Office of the US International Trade Administration has announced the release of two new data tools that enable users to analyze trends in international visitation to the US as the travel and tourism industry recovers from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Survey of International Air Travelers (SIAT) Inbound Monitor enables users to analyze interactively the characteristics of overseas visitors at the national, state and MSA levels:
The SIAT includes data on trip planning, travel patterns, demographics, income and spending.
NTTO plans to release a US Outbound Travel Monitor later this year.
Also new are Market and Sector Profiles incorporating data from 1997 through 2020 for overseas and Mexico-air visitation to the US for 27 countries, 9 world regions and 9 sectors, based on SIAT spending data. New methodology enables NTTO to estimate overseas visitation for all 50 States, 87 MSAs, 3 US Territories and 11 US Regions.

Once again: good on NTTO!
