Visit Florida head stepping down
After nearly 6 years heading the state DMO, Visit Florida President and CEO Dana Young has announced that she will resign as soon as a replacement has been recruited.
Ms. Young, who is an attorney and served in the state legislature from 2010 to 2018 until defeated in an unsuccessful re-election bid, was then appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to head Visit Florida, beginning in January 2019.
Ms. Young led the agency through attempts by the Florida House to de-fund the agency, as well as the COVID pandemic of 2019-2023.
Recruitment for a replacement is ongoing.
