The Chinese Embassy in Washington has issued an alert warning potential visitors from China to the USA that American public security isn't sufficient to protect people from gun violence and robbery. The alert also refers to summertime natural disasters, expensive medical care, searches and seizures by customs agents and telecommunications fraud.

US President Trump is considering instituting tariffs on some Chinese goods, and may make an announcement on this as early as Friday.
