Valencia-based travel trendwatchers Forwardkeys have released an analysis of the UK's top long-haul source markets in the 12-month period ending 30 September 2019.
USA, Australia and India remained top 3 source markets for reasons including continued economic growth, favorable exchange rates, improved airline connectivity and the Cricket World Cup.
But interestingly, growth in arrivals from second-tier cities in the USA and China was notable: 16 US cities were among the global top 50 city markets, and overall growth rate of China visitation exceeded that of the country's 2 biggest cities.
