Boston tourism director Kenneth Brissette, along with Mayor Walsh's intergovernmental affairs aide Timothy Sullivan, were indicted in May 2016, accused of extorting a music festival to hire unnecessary union labor.
On 28 February 2018 a federal judge denied a defense motion for dismissal.
Brissette and Sullivan have been on paid leave and drawing 6-figure annual salaries since May 2016.
Who's been running City of Boston tourism for nearly the past 2 years??
