Subject: Chinese visitation to Scottish Highlands
I can see both a big pro and a big con here:
PRO: All recent credible research shows that Chinese travelers are very safety-conscious when it comes to destinations. And today, Scotland has to be as safe as anywhere.
CON: It's unlikely that today in the Scottish Highlands there exists the kind of infrastructure in the way of Chinese-language signage, step-on guides and training of workers in the hospitality and tourism industries that can guarantee Chinese visitors a world-class experience.
But getting Chinese visitors there at all will be in itself an accomplishment, and will start the ball rolling to make the Highlands a sought-after destination for Chinese travelers.
