Tourism stakeholders in Iowa have organized non-profit Iowa Travel Industry Partners (ITIP) following the development in 2015 of an industry-wide strategic sector plan with the goal of improving collaboration, partnerships and expertise in the industry.

The new organization will represent the interests of Iowa's tourism industry as part of a statewide strategic plan for tourism promotion and investment. Its stated mission is to be "the unified driving force of the travel and tourism industry promoting Iowa and its communities to positively impact the economy and quality of life for all Iowans".

ITIP has announced the appointment of Greater Burlington Iowa CVB Executive Director Chelsea Lerud as interim director starting 9 August 2021.
