Communities Grants, Enterprise Marketing Grants, Special Event Grants

Maine Spring 2024 Marketing Grant applications now being accepted

Communities Grants in amounts $2500-$5000 support tourism-focused, community-oriented marketing and events. Maine municipalities, tribal governments and Maine-based non-profits (501c3,c6,L3c) are eligible; also other organizations with a non-profit fiscal agent partner.

Enterprise Marketing Grants in amounts $5000-$30000 support tourism marketing initiatives that will increase visitation to a destination, and primarily support marketing that helps move organizations toward sustainable growth that contributes to the overall advancement of the Maine tourism economy. Maine non-profits, municipalities and tribal governments are eligible.

Special Event Grants provide marketing funds to existing, well-established events for the expansion and progression of marketing that will attract new audiences and increase overnight visitation and length of stay, and increase visitation in the shoulder seasons. Two grants are awarded weach fiscal year - one per grant cycle - in amounts $30000-$60000. Maine non-profits, municipalities and tribal governments are eligible.

Application deadline for these grant programs is 24 May 2024.

Tourism Development & Management Grants to be awarded once a year in amounts $15000-$40000 support tourism development, education and management projects that will:

  • Enhance collaboration among destination organizations to improve/manage resident and visitor experience in a destination
  • Create sustainable tourism growth in a tourism sector that aligns with MOT's Destination Management Plan
  • Provide technical and consulting assistance for planning, developing and executing new/best practices in tourism management strategies, experience creation and product development

Maine non-profits, municipalities and tribal governments are eligible.

Application deadline for letter of intent to apply for this grant is an hour and a half from now at 2 PM 19 April 2024.

Application deadline is 2 PM 24 May 2024.
