The 2022 Travel and Tourism Recovery Grant program managed by the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism opened for applications on 1 December 2021, and will be closing next Wednesday, 19 January at 5 PM Boston time.
Time is short, but it's not over 'til it's over!
These grants are intended to:
"...support marketing campaigns and initiatives that increase consumer spending, support local businesses, advance community recovery efforts, and increase tourism and visitation in Massachusetts [and] help to build and transform the tourism and hospitality sector in the post-pandemic environment..."
To qualify, applicants must be a Massachusetts public agency, municipality, or non-profit organization that has operated for at least 2 consecutive years since January 2019. But MOTT also encourages for-profit businesses to partner with qualified applicants on initiatives that will benefit both businesses and the community.
MOTT says it will try to "ensure geographic diversity" in grant awards.
Applications must be submitted via the MOTT application portal here and in a single session.
Grant awards will be announced in March 2022.
For successful projects to be reimbursed, financial results must be reported by 30 June 2022.
