'Travel California. Respect California'

"Travel California. Respect California."

Statewide DMO Visit California has created a responsible travel code with the motto "Travel California. Respect California" that asks tourists to observe 7 points when visiting California:

  • Roam responsibly
  • Educate myself
  • Safety first
  • Preserve California
  • Embrace Community
  • Celebrate culture
  • Teach others

Visit California President/CEO Caroline Beteta said:

“We hope this code can serve as a quick resource for travelers on how to stay safe and be respectful of others and of the environment when visiting the state.”

California reopened for leisure travel in June after being essentially locked down for months because of COVID-19.
