BLS commented that "A sharp employment decline in food services and drinking places [105,000 jobs lost]... likely reflected the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey."
However, at the same time, the unemployment rate dropped from 4.4% to 4.2%.
Average hourly nonfarm wage rose by $0.12 to $26.55.
The US economy remains strong. Every tourism destination and business in the world should be courting Americans.
