US nonfarm payroll employment rose by 273,000 in February and the unemployment rate was 3.5%, down from 3.6% in January.
Biggest jobs gains occurred in health care and social assistance (+57,000). food services and drinking places (+53,000), government (+45,000), construction (+42,000), professional and technical services (+32,000), and finance (+26,000).
Average hourly earnings increased by $0.09 to $28.52.
Average workweek increased by 0.1 hour to 34.4 hours.
