French ski industry association Domaines Skiables de France announced at the weekend that all ski areas in France will immediately close for the balance of the 2019-2020 season, which normally would have continued until as late as May.

This comes just 3 weeks before spring school holidays are scheduled to begin in France and Britain - the busiest portion of the skiing season in France.

The Government of France announced on Saturday the immediate closure of all shops, restaurants and entertainment sites across the country.
