German tourism news site Touristik Aktuell reports that German travel bookings in November and December 2016 for 2017 travel were up more than 5% from the same period in 2015.
Bookings for Spain and Portugal were strong, and bookings for Greece look promising. Many agents reported strong demand for long-haul travel also.
But attacks and unrest will likely make 2017 a poor year for Turkey, and Tunisia and Egypt bookings are uncertain also.
