Recent Aer Lingus data suggest that consumer confidence in travel has increased since international restrictions were relaxed last week.

Most popular destinations searched by users in Ireland for sun, ski and other holidays included:

  • Alicante
  • Lanzarote

  • Munich +90%
  • Geneva +65%
  • Venice +81%
  • Madrid +70%
  • Birmingham +69%
  • London +70%
  • Glasgow +72%
  • Edinburgh +63%
  • New York
  • Boston
  • Chicago

Comparative numbers reflect increases in web searches and attachment rates at AerLingus.com between 30 December 2021-3 January 2022 and 6-10 January 2022.

Aer Lingus has been running a January Seat Sale (end date just extended from 18 January to 24 January) in the latter period, for flights between 1 February and 31 May 2022.
