Today, just days after Airbnb UK said it would rely on hosts to enforce government guidance on nonessential travel - and likely in part because some hosts continued to advertise their properties as COVID-19 "isolation retreats" - the company has suspended until at least 18 April all bookings except for key workers in the fight against COVID-19.
Welsh politician Liz Saville-Roberts had criticized Airbnb for "facilitating the dangerous and selfish behavior of a small but significant number of people."
All non-essential travel in the UK has been banned since 23 March.
