According to a proposal leaked from the UK government, "unskilled" EU citizens - including the majority of those employed in tourism and hospitality jobs - would be able to stay in the UK no longer than 2 years.
BHA claims that at least 60,000 new EU workers must come to the UK annually just to replace normal attrition.
The fact that the UK has near full employment means it would be difficult to replace those EU-citizen workers with locals.
