UK PM Boris Johnson said during a visit to Ireland last week that he believes trusted-trader schemes and electronic pre-clearance of goods can replace the Irish backstop provision of the departure plan agreed upon between Theresa May's government and the EU.
But other UK officials have hinted that proposed border solutions will not be published until after the Conservative Party conference scheduled for 29 September - 2 October.
The UK is scheduled to leave the EU on 31 October.
Will the Brexit deadline be extended again? Or will the UK crash out without a deal on 31 October?
Stay tuned.
