After declining to take Theresa May's calls during the PM's 4 December meeting with EU officials - thus scuttling any immediate possibility of resolution of the Irish border and/or UK exit payment - DUP chief Arlene Foster has offered to fly to London to meet with Mrs. May and "examine finer points" of a border agreement.
Meanwhile Sinn Fein has warned DUP and the Tories against taking any action that would prevent Ireland from remaining in the EU customs union and single market.
Unfortunately the Irish and NI wants are not compatible.
