Under changes to international travel rules announced by UK PM Boris Johnson yesterday, fully vaccinated persons arriving in England after 4 AM tomorrow Friday 7 January 2022 will no longer be required to pass a COVID test within 48 hours prior to arrival, or to quarantine upon arrival.
And beginning at 4 AM on Sunday 9 January, fully-vaccinated new arrivals and those under 18 will instead be required to take a lateral flow (antigen) test - rather than the more expensive PCR test - on the second day after arrival.
It's reported that officials in Wales and Northern Ireland have agreed to go along with these changes, but no word yet from the government of Scotland.
