In June 2017 total international arrivals to Ireland were up 8%.

January-June arrivals were up 4.2% overall, while arrivals from North America were up 21.6%.

Visits from the UK, including NI, were down 6.4% on weak GBP.

Tourism Ireland has been working very hard to get more visitors from markets other tha the UK, in order to offset shrinkage of that market (normally 40% of Ireland's total) following the 2016 Brexit vote.

The strong USD this year makes Ireland, and all of the Eurozone, a relative bargain for Americans.
