Revenue from visits from North America were up 16.7% yoy, and that from visits from mainland Europe were up 6.5%. But revenue from visits from the UK was down 3.7%.
Failte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly said:
"...we cannot just assume that the drop in British holidaymakers will continue to be compensated by better performances in other markets. We have to ensure that we all work together to have the best plan to mitigate this risk..."
The agency plans to launch a Brexit program to assist tourism operators in diversifying and repositioning their businesses.
