Earlier this week in an interview with Sky News, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said he believes Brexit will happen, and that if it happens without a departure deal being agreed between the UK and the EU, there will have to be customs checks at the UK-Ireland border to "make sure that the interests of the European Union and the internal market will be preserved."
Meanwhile, the UK's highest court has ruled that PM Boris Johnson's advice to the Queen that Parliament should be suspended for 5 weeks in order for him to press forward with Brexit was unlawful, void and of no effect.
The ball is now in Parliament's court.
