Note that these are preliminary numbers from STR.
Even with a 1.9% year-on-year decline, average London occupancy in October was 83.4%. (Compare to 63.3% for US hotels in the last week of October.)
And London hoteliers really don't need your sympathy - ADR and RevPAR were both up in October, to 152.27 and 126.96 GBP, respectively.
