Net in-migration from the EU to the UK dropped to 90,000 in the 12 months ending September 2017 - the first time this figure has dropped below 100K since March 2013, and the lowest figure since 2012.
Although overall - EU plus non-EU - long-term net migration to the UK was +244,000 for the 12 months ending September 2017, note that the UK government has a Brexit-driven goal of reducing this overall net immigration figure to 100,000.
Shortages of immigrant workers are increasingly problematical for some UK industries like tourism, hospitality, agriculture and health care.
