Tourism Ireland representatives and a delegation from 13 Irish and Canadian trade allies are meeting with tour planners and travel agents in Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax; also with the Irish Ambassador to Canada and representatives of the Irish diaspora.
Visits to Ireland from Canada were up 11% yoy in 2017. Tourism Ireland hopes to improve on that figure for 2018 and 2019.
The new Aer Lingus Montreal-Dublin service scheduled for summer 2019 should help.
