Following up on Enda Kenny's remarks made in DC at St. Patrick's Day 2017, Varadkar made the point that all the Irish in America are "hard-working people who contribute to the economy."
Trump said he's aware of the contributions of Irish immigrants to making America great, and that he's impressed that they funded the construction of St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC.
The Irish being Europeans - like Norwegians - may give them an immigration advantage in the Trump administration.
