The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that beginning today Saturday 4 December 2021 all non-French-nationals age 12 and above entering France must show negative results of a COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours before arrival.

French authorities reported yesterday the country's first 2 cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, both in persons just returned from southern Africa.

Per the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, 69.8% of the French population are now fully vaccinated.

WHO statistics show that France recorded 49,563 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
